Hyderabad: TDP chief and former chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Monday slammed Andhra Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy over lavish expenditure of Rs 1,000 crore for the hoardings of ‘Siddam’ meetings across the state.
Addressing the ‘Raa Kadaliraa’ public meeting at Penukonda, the former chief minister said, “Jagan Reddy spent Rs 1000 crores for Siddam hoardings across the state. Jagan is saying that he is giving pensions to the people. But it should be remembered that it was NT Rama Rao who started the pension scheme.”
Slamming the Jagan government for massive governance failure, the TDP chief said that unlike Jagan who is giving Rs5,000 to the volunteers, he would give Rs3,000 allowances to the youth of the State. “We will train the youth and provide 20 lakh jobs in 5 years. In the past five years, there was no job calendar, Mega DSC, and no jobs for the youth. I am assuring volunteers that I will not discontinue the volunteer system and they will keep their jobs. But they should not work for YSRCP. Jagan Reddy is a psycho who was born to destroy the state.”
Naidu further highlighted that the TDP government increased the pension amount from Rs200 to Rs2,000. “If TDP comes to power, we would give Rs3,000 pension from the first month of coming to power.”
